The Glam-Rock Tablescape

Posted in Uncategorized

I discovered this amazing Glam-Rock Tablescape, produced by Haute Couture Linens in California. Even though it isn’t my style, I love all the amazing details that they added to the overall look. There are many brides that are looking for an edgy rock-style look for their wedding. I think this tablescape is the most formal and fabulous way of doing so! Between the candles, flatware and florals, every little detail was carefully thought out to create this tablescape.

Fantastic Finds: Mailbox Wishes

Posted in Personlization

For the past few years we have seen many unique ways for your guests to leave you love notes and word of advice on your big day. Anything from wish trees, wish bowls to typewritten notes have all made an appearance on the guestbook table. I saw this picture tonight on Pinterest and thought how AWESOME would it be to have these mini mailboxes instead with a stack of note cards ready to be sealed and sent to your new home. It would be so sweet to open the notes as you return from your honeymoon.

Of course it would need to be complete with your new initials!

Atlanta Event – Munaluchi Bridal Magazine Tweetup

Posted in ellyB Social

I am a strong believer of only involving my brand with people and companies that I believe in.  When I began conversing with Jackie the Publisher and Editor of Munaluchi Bridal I knew she was a rare gem. With her drive and realistic goals I know Munaluchi will be around for a very long time.

Jackie and Erowun (the creative director) wanted to come to town to meet all of the Atlanta Wedding Professionals and Brides who have proven to be great supporters of the publication. The ellyB team jumped at the opportunity to coordinate one of the most fabulous tweetups.  Check out pics from the event from the uber talented Tracey Brown Photography:

Family Photos in Glass Bottles

Posted in Personlization

Clients are often looking for ways to display their family wedding portraits or family members that have passed on creatively and uniquely. I just love this pin from my pinterest page! Someone listed their crafty DIY project that included vintage bottles that they cleverly also placed their family photos in them. Just perfect!  At the end of the evening you can gift the family member or relatives of your choosing so they can display in their home and as a little keepsake from your big day.

Vendor Spotlight: La Gartier

Posted in Vendor Spotlights

The bridal garter is one of the most popular wedding traditions that brides like to partake in. The tradition of wearing a garter on your wedding day dates back to the early eighteenth century. It is believed to be good luck if the bride removes an article of clothing at the wedding. The garter is the little surprise that nobody sees until your groom tosses it, and it will become a keepsake of yours forever.

My fiancé immediately signed up for this wedding tradition as we planned our wedding, which didn’t surprise me at all (honestly, which groom wouldn’t be excited?).  As I began my search for the perfect garter, I was surprised at the lack of choices available. After a huge disappointing search, I stumbled across La Gartier.

Sarah Dobson, the owner of La Gartier, custom designs each garter to the brides style. After a consultation, she immediately began to make my keepsake garter. When I opened the package from La Gartier in the mail, I was thrilled to see my garter…it looked gorgeous! La Gartier makes the most beautiful garters I’ve ever seen and each one is made with love.

Masking “More Than Just” Tape

Posted in DIY, Favor Ideas, New Trends, Party Ideas, Personlization, Place Cards, showcases

Can you believe all the wall and floor designs are made out of masking tape? It’s incredible how tape can be used to decorate anything.

Japanese masking tape adds a stylish look to paper, glass, party favors, you name it! Pinterest had tons of photos that showed the variety of usages for masking tape. You can purchase this fabulous tape on Uncommon Goods, Esty, and Cute Tape.

The beauty of this product is that it doesn’t leave a stain after peeling it off and it comes in a variety of colors and designs. Check out MT, the manufacturer of the tape, and grab more fantastic design ideas from their gallery.

Posted in ellyB Couples Engagement Pictures

What happens when you have a vintage train yard, fabulous couple and an equal fabulous photographer (Climie and Co.)? Magic. Yup that’s what you get. You get all of the gooey emotions without even knowing who the couple truly is. But one thing you do know from just looking at the work of art is that their love is real because these emotions you cannot fake!

Kia and Jamel will be married next month and we have had just as much fun planning their wedding day. I can’t wait to bring you that as well.  But now you have to settle for their awesome engagement session that was just posted on Glamour and Grace’s blog.
