This past April, Chantel from the ellyB team had the pleasures of heading to South Carolina, for the wedding of Vanessa and Jonathan. Each time Chantel discussed their vision with the team, we were so excited to hear the details for the Derby inspired yet classic wedding.  Here are some words of advice from the bride:

We did a first look because we wanted to have a special moment to ourselves before the wedding. It was a good decision because we were able to appreciate each other and the importance of the day before everyone else was fighting for our attention. We also got a lot of great shots of the two of us before the ceremony!

Julie and Dave were an absolute joy to work with! Julie and Dave live in two separate states so it was imperative for Dave to get Julie help to plan their big day so she would have the guidance they needed. One thing was for sure, Julie wanted an opulent location that her out of town guests would be able to enjoy, as well as compliment her fairy tale ball gown.

When designing the wedding, we knew that we wanted everything light and airy and classic. It was important to use the blush tones, silver undertones and compliment the decor that was already in place at the St. Regis. We also wanted to add to the experience and personalization of Julie and Dave by adding the gelato cart to signify Italy where Dave proposed to Julie. We also had custom cigars for the guests to enjoy on the terrace at the St. Regis.

It was one of our first weddings with Jeremy Harwell and it was just plain awesome. We are excited each and every time we work with him!

Sometimes it just feels surreal. The reality is that as party/wedding planners and designers, we get to do what we love and we get to do it often! We get to get as wild and crazy as we like yet keeping it completely realistic (and sometimes unimaginable)!  We get to play with colors, textures and designs and watch them come to life!  This is exactly what we were able to do when the W Midtown Atlanta asked us to do a shoot for their upcoming season portfolio.  Together with an allstar team of vendors, we created magic!

We were delighted when the visionary behind Oh Brides Magazine contacted us to do a shoot for their debut issue!  We got together as a team and Doriann, our Senior Party Planner got the goods and details for the perfect wedding theme with a city backdrop.  It was important for us to show that you can still have glamour and have it work well with an urban backdrop such as the city. We decided to go with the color palette of ivory, gold and cobalt blue as we felt the colors are so contrasting they are striking!! 

So many people always think that you still need to do modern and clean lines when doing cityscapes, but that is the furthest from the truth!  Check out the feature below and let us know what you think!

Tami is an industry blogging icon here in Atlanta.  Imagine my surprise when she asked me to help her plan her birthday soiree!!! So it has come to our attention that we have so many wonderful engagement pictures and stories to share with you!  Our couples mean the world to us so stay tuned as we make sure this happens! My dear sweet diva Lauren was an absolute blast to work with. The girl knew what she wanted and did not take a substitute as a solution.  This resulted in a wedding day that left her and Jamal speechless.  We cannot wait to share their wedding day images with you guys!  For now take a peep at their basketball, gym, movie night and sorority/fraternity engagement session! I cannot believe we are coming up on the end of June. Seriously where did the time fly?? We have had so many amazing things happen for us so far this year, and we cannot wait to see what the rest of the year has in store. From amazing weddings, events, and photo shoots, we have so much more to share with you!

Today we are sharing the gorgeous shoot we shot with some of the best talent Atlanta has to offer.  We were approached by Occasions Magazine to do an inspiration spread for their summer issue.  What was so amazing about this opportunity is that we were given free reign. Any color, location, feel was all up to us!  The team and I decided to use colors that you do not see often, and stage in a venue where is often seen as rustic and show how you can create a totally different feel.  Nadia D. knocked it out the park on this one!  See more below:
