We have so much fun with clients that allows us to be creative and try things that we have never done before and believes in us to make the most amazing day possible!  We had no idea when we promised Crystal the that the X table design would work at the Old Decatur Courthouse. Like seriously, no clue! But by gosh did we make it work and the results were stunning if I might say so myself.  The table design was set for 92 people, and guests were so amazed to see the room set up like this after the room flip from the ceremony.

Crystal and John were such an amazing couple to work with and their love just radiated with their closest friends and family. The couple is expecting their first baby in August and we could not wish them enough luck and love!

This past April, Chantel from the ellyB team had the pleasures of heading to South Carolina, for the wedding of Vanessa and Jonathan. Each time Chantel discussed their vision with the team, we were so excited to hear the details for the Derby inspired yet classic wedding.  Here are some words of advice from the bride:

We did a first look because we wanted to have a special moment to ourselves before the wedding. It was a good decision because we were able to appreciate each other and the importance of the day before everyone else was fighting for our attention. After all of the weddings we have done over at the Biltmore for the past few years, did you know not one of them ever had their reception in the Imperial Ballroom?  That was until Dorlinda and Donald!  We were so excited to finally not only have the ceremony in that pretty amazing ballroom, but also flip the space and use it for reception as well.

Surrounded by only their close family and friends, guests mingled throughout the evening to share in their love. Of course the night would not be complete without a surprise or two! Kenny Latimore serenaded the bride and groom with his popular song…For You!

My sweet Soritza and Robert! Talk about a pleasure to work with!!! These two are so much in love that it overflowed each time we talked about their big day! 

The couple was married last May and had one of the prettiest days of the year! Robert even went as far as to win a contest for his wife to have their favorite artist, Will Downing serenade her at the ending of the ceremony. This shock literally brought Soritza to her knees in shock and joy.

With a color palette of apple green and eggplant, it was a perfect blend for a spring time affair. The colors worked especially well in The Biltmore Ballrooms where the ceremony and reception was held. Soritza and Robert are both dentists and nurses respectively, so it was such a thoughtful favor them to give our personalized toothbrushes and flosses (for after the candy bar) as well as aspirin with water bottles (to cure their hangovers)! Talk about unique and personalization!

Julie and Dave were an absolute joy to work with! Julie and Dave live in two separate states so it was imperative for Dave to get Julie help to plan their big day so she would have the guidance they needed. One thing was for sure, Julie wanted an opulent location that her out of town guests would be able to enjoy, as well as compliment her fairy tale ball gown.

When designing the wedding, we knew that we wanted everything light and airy and classic. It was important to use the blush tones, silver undertones and compliment the decor that was already in place at the St. Regis. We also wanted to add to the experience and personalization of Julie and Dave by adding the gelato cart to signify Italy where Dave proposed to Julie. We also had custom cigars for the guests to enjoy on the terrace at the St. Regis.

It was one of our first weddings with Jeremy Harwell and it was just plain awesome. We are excited each and every time we work with him!

Congrats to Tamarsha and Jarryd who were married at the Fox Theater here in Atlanta this past January. It was our first time working with the folks over The Fox and they were an absolute joy to work with!  Tamarsha and Jarryd are expecting a baby boy in a few months and we are wishing them all the best with a safe and healthy delivery!

We seriously cannot believe today is April 1st! Seriously where is the time flying too? Although we want the time to slow down, we cannot resist sharing all that we have been up to so far this year and sharing the love and fabulous pics from all of the weddings so far. Seriously each time we see the smiles on these couple’s faces, it makes us smiles even harder.

We now introduce you to Joyce and Travis.  Joyce has a smile that can melt a snowman.  She is a teacher so that automatically makes her sweet nature even that more warming.  They were married on a rainy yet gorgeous day here in Atlanta at the Druid Hills Methodist church then were wished off to the Biltmore Ballrooms for the reception. When you think of fun, quirky, unique, fun loving – you get Kate & Greg. Their wedding this past October at the Freight Depot downtown was chock full of their personality and genuine love for each other and their families. Their ceremony took place at a gorgeous church right across from the Freight Depot. Afterwards, all the guests walked over to the venue for cocktail hour and reception, where non of their guests even had a chance to be bored! They had a fun photo booth full of mustache props and signs, a beautiful vintage lounge area (courtesy of Four Inch Fold) where guests could play their favorite board game, personal bingo cards at each place setting for an interactive game each guest could participate in, a ‘make your own paper airplane’ station and so many other fun happenings. The bride Kate even personally crafted all the bouquets, boutonnieres and paper flower centerpieces. We were so excited for one of our very first wedding this year at Agnes Scott College. Noted as one of the top five most beautiful campuses in the US, Agnes campus was a perfect location for Kara and Alvin’s wedding . The couple were married in the Julia Thompson Smith chapel that was conveniently located onsite as well as the Letitia Evans dining hall.  The entire wedding was complete with emotion and officiated by Alvin’s father.

There is completely nothing wrong with a brunch wedding. In fact every single one we have done guests still have the time of their life no matter what time of day it is. People are there to celebrate you no matter what so the time of day, or day of the week, should not matter at all!

Leah and Nick had a wonderful brunch wedding last summer and it was just perfection. The event kicked off right before the heat in Atlanta made it into full blast.
