ellyB Couples: The love story of Beth and Geoff

by Eliana on September 3, 2010

As we gear up to welcome four new amazing couples into the ellyB family, we just had to share the recent love story of one of our latest couples Beth and Geoff’s wedding day.  Beth and Geoff were the epitome of grace and class and are definitely a wedding planner’s dream to work with.

Beth and Geoff were married in July with the ceremony at the beautiful Swan House Garden, cocktail hour in the Boxwood Gardens with the reception immediately following at the Atlanta History Center.  We cannot wait to share their photos with you that were taken by the talented Ella Rue Photography. Stay tuned for those!

Jeremy Doublestein and his team from Three Ring Media were not only awesome to work with, but their style of cinematography is just drop dead gorgeous. I love how the video spans over several days and not just the wedding day! You get to see the couples in two unique elements, one at ease and just being themselves and then again in the midst of joy and happiness as they are surrounded by their loved ones.  Take a look below at their wedding trailer as well as their love story.

Run to Three Ring Media’s site TODAY because they are having a sale that ends tonight. Totally worth it!

ellyB Couples – Amanda and Jason

by Eliana on June 29, 2010

We are just smitten with the engagement pictures of Amanda and Jason captured by the fabulous David Murray Weddings. The couple will be getting married this winter at the Piedmont Driving Club. We cannot wait to share their wedding day with you!

Amanda and Jason decided to hope into a vintage Porsche for their engagement session. What makes this picture even more memorable is that the couple will use the pictures silhouette on their wedding invitations!

Here are some tips on how to carry the image out throughout your home:

  • Blow up the picture and hang in your social areas of your home
  • Have a little picture frame that will hold your invitation or another piece of art that reminds you of that moment
  • Hang your engagement picture near your wedding picture so you can relive the journey at all times

ellyB Couples – Erika and Leroy

by Eliana on June 19, 2010

The reason why I stress the importance of my couples having an engagement session is due to the fact that 80% of the time couples have never had their photos professionally taken.  The engagement session play multiple roles:

  • A chance to get all dressed up before your big day and have all eyes on you
  • You can begin the documentation of your love story before the big day rolls around
  • The opportunity to get comfortable with your photographer before the big day
  • The opportunity to have pro pics in a location that you may not be able to visit on your wedding day
  • Most couples still love to have their picture as a sign in frame on their wedding day or to display in their home
  • Last but no where near least, take amazing pictures such as the ones below!!!!!

We were so excited when Ben Vigil shared these HOT pictures of my couple Erika and Leroy below. The faint worthy pictures below begins the story of what will transpire on their big day.

ellyB Couples: Alberta and Chris

by Eliana on May 19, 2010

Since we enjoy the entire journey of our couple’s wedding, we always get excited when we see pictures from their engagement session. It gives them an opportunity to practice as well as relax in front of the camera. Here are some pictures taken by Melissa Hume of our wonderful couple Alberta and Chris around Piedmont Park here in Atlanta.

My couples have some of the cutest engagement pictures that it is no fair to wait until their wedding day for the big reveal.  The list goes on and on on why I love this couple so much so I will keep it down to a few:

  • Their home reminds me of pottery barn. It is so cute and cozy and a direct reflection of their personality
  • Sabrina is a graphic designer and did a FANTABULOUS job on all her paper goods that she will be using for the wedding
  • All florals that we will be using on the big day will then be transported to a retirement home when the reception ends.  What I love about this is that it is not just any retirement home, but Sabrina picked the home where her Grandmother used to live.  This is by far the most selfless thing I have had one of my couples do. In the loving memory of her Grandmother, the homes resident will have beautiful flowers to lighten their day.

The couple will be married at Barnsley Garden with the amazing color palette of fuchsia and gray. We will be sure to bring you all the amazing pics that are sure to come.

Arc Photography did an amazing job on their engagement pictures. Makes me even more excited for their big day.

We are so giddy to receive the engagement pictures of Carol and Kesha from the talented photographer Amy Aragon. We are so excited for their spring commitment ceremony here in Atlanta at the Greystone.

I affectionately name all of my brides. I always pick a name that  sticks with me throughout the planning process and will remind me the things they cherish most. It is a name that we share that shows exactly who they are as individuals and how they will be on their wedding day. Carol and Kesha are my Serenity Brides. When I entered their home, there was such a calming and peaceful presence that was throughout the air that we will be replicating on their big day.  There will be heavy use of candles and other romantic elements for their guests to experience.

Here is some imagery from their spring engagement shoot

It may be the city living kid in me but I just love when couples use graffiti walls as their backdrop! Way to b unique and chic!

We just love when our clients share their engagement pics with us. Engagement pictures are a great way to practice for the big day as well as allowing bonding time with the couple and photographer. They get to learn your “bad” sides as well as what it takes to open you up in front of the camera. Take a look at these wonderful pictures taken by Altmix Photography:
