From the moment I met with Lisa we just clicked! In almost the year leading up to her wedding, all we did was laugh and design a wedding that was true to her and Eric’s personality. All the little touches and memories were just perfect for the big day. It was so amazing to see two fabulous families unite and become one. After all that is what the big day is all about! Check out their wedding below filled with peacock details. It was so great to incorporate the little touches without being too over the top!
In a couple of days it will be Sean and Michelle’s one year anniversary. I cannot believe how time is flying, remind me to have a conversation with God to ask him to just slow it down a bit. Back to Michelle and Sean, I heart these two, I really do. As a wedding planner I do not get the opportunity to hang out with my clients as much as I like and I plan to change that in 2012! After all they are much more than clients to me, there is no way we will lose communication because of work!
Michelle and Sean although I don’t get to connect as much as I like, please know that I tell your story often. So much so that I am about to share it now.
Michelle and Sean visited 200 Peachtree one day, although they went to many venues after, Michelle just knew in her heart this venue was for her. Since Sean is an accountant he gave me a budget we had to stick too, and another venue just worked out to fit our budget a bit better. Michelle was ok with giving up her dream place just to make it work. As far as she was concerned Sean and I put down a deposit on venue B and we were moving forward with the wedding plans. Being the angel that Michelle is, she was ok with this, after all all that mattered is that she was marrying her best friend.
But Sean being an amazing man that he is, did not want his lovely wife to be to sacrifice the place that won her heart, we moved forward with the venue of her dreams and held our little secret for weeks. I think Sean couldn’t take it anymore and squealed on himself! Yup he is just that amazing.

Most of our clients do not live here in Atlanta. It is a destination place for most as some of them have gone to school here and moved on to other locations, or their families live here. So it is so exciting for us to be the ones to ease their pains and fears for planning a wedding from far.
Beth and Geoff are my modern day Obama’s complete with powerful careers that I expect to see them on the news soon. All details were carefully selected yet very meaningful to the couple. Below you will see a map of Australia where the couple went for their honeymoon.
Since they are both writers, we incorporated a vintage typewriter, vintage books with the first page dedicated to details of the couple. On the cake table we even had a book displayed explaining the cake flavors and why they were selected. The couple even decided to frame and display the note with the steps that Geoff jotted down to plan the perfect proposal.
Irina and Spencer were married this past April at Ventanas here in Atlanta. The beautiful red, white and silver wedding palette made our beautiful bride just shine. I wanted to share these wonderful images captured by the fabulous Nina Sutherland Photography. It was so great to work with her for the first time!
So over the holidays, I stressed to my business partner, a.k.a my husband, about how important my clients are to me. Seriously each and everyone one of them are more like friends then actual clients. I love to sit down and laugh with them, hear all of their stories and share new ideas for restaurants and actually go out and try them!
How could I repay them for trusting me on the biggest day of their lives? How can I show them that they were just not another weekend to me? How can I show my existing clients that it is all about their planning experience and I want them to walk away with new great memories. Best of all how do I show potential clients I know how to throw a mean _ _ _ party and I would be the perfect planner for them?
Then my hubby figured it out. We will do just that. We will gather all of them in one room and force them to wine and dine with us. Better yet, we will do it Valentine’s Day weekend because we LOVE them, oh and we saved them from having to take their sweeties out for dinner.
I then reached out to some of my favorite vendors with this crazy idea and they all loved it! It was great because we shared so many mutual clients anyway. Just like that, the inaugural ellyB and Friends Client Appreciation Dinner was born.
So of course when I decided to do this I had no idea it was like planning my own wedding all over again. Yes I do this for a living but I was so nervous. I wanted to make sure everyone had a good time, met new friends, and of course DANCED. I am glad to say, everyone did and they still talk about it till this day with everyone they know.
Ok enough about all of that. Let me give you a sneak peek of what went down. This is just a teaser as we will have quite a few blog posts coming up in a few. Three Ring Media did this fabulous recap trailer. It is only a minute long but you can get the complete essence of the party!
I am a strong believer of only involving my brand with people and companies that I believe in. When I began conversing with Jackie the Publisher and Editor of Munaluchi Bridal I knew she was a rare gem. With her drive and realistic goals I know Munaluchi will be around for a very long time.
Jackie and Erowun (the creative director) wanted to come to town to meet all of the Atlanta Wedding Professionals and Brides who have proven to be great supporters of the publication. The ellyB team jumped at the opportunity to coordinate one of the most fabulous tweetups. Check out pics from the event from the uber talented Tracey Brown Photography:
Thank you very much to the most awesome style team!
We had such an amazing time with all of our 2010 couples. Working with Alberta and Chris was a breeze. She was an easy going bride and came to us with just a color scheme. She trusted we would get all of her decor needs together as well as the rest of her vendors. The results were flawless. Not only was Alberta a beautiful bride, Chris was a dashing groom that made sure his queen was the bella of the ball.
They were married in the historic Biltmore Ballrooms here in Atlanta. We are so fortunate to see their beautiful wedding grace three pages of Occasions Magazine which is on newstands now, you don’t want to miss it.
Hey everyone, I cannot believe it is Friday already! Was Thanksgiving really a week ago? Did Hanukah start two days ago? Is Christmas really in 22 days? I mean why is time flying? I am sure it is just a sign of how old I am getting but geesh, please slow down, I have lots to do.
Anyhoo I really just wanted to say happy Friday and have a safe and warm weekend. It is freezing here in ATL.
Oh and we wanted to share with you what we have in the works:
For the next two weeks we will share with you never before seen images of some of the Atlanta and New York weddings we have had this year. We cannot wait!, some have amazing videos to go along with them.
We also owe you images from Engage10!, it is never too late for some eye candy.
Also next weekend we will coordinating the Lavish Xperience produced by Shameeka from The Broke Socialite, I have had the opportunity to work or meet with some of the BEST bloggers in the world. If you know anything about this blog we are all about events but we are also about all things fabulous. Can you say amazing party with Rue Magazine here in Atlanta! Oh yes we are versatile.
We are having such an amazing year that although we have given you hints and minor intro’s to our couples on the blog or via twitter, our website has just sat there and collected cobwebs.
We have updated our site to include some of our most recent weddings (there are much more coming), some of our recent social events as well as some of the press we have received over the last few months.
We had such a blast working with Heather Vreeland from Atlanta Occasions Magazine on this amazing event! Heather is so passionate for anything Twilight related, so it was so fun working with her to get things just right for not only this Eclipse premiere event, but a party to celebrate the one year anniversary of Atlanta Occasions Magazine.
For the decor we decided to go with all things red and black to emulate the cover of the Eclipse book. From the candy bar, canolis filled red filling, to the color coordinated popcorn bar! All of the labels were either hand drawn with calligraphy or branded signs with the Eclipse font to tie everything in together.
