Unique Wedding Favors in a Jar

Posted in Uncategorized

I am all for edible favors as gifts.  Chances are high that your guests will actually eat or make the ingeditents given to them from your event. During our Inspiration Stations we also encourage you to include elements for your personal lives or just doing something you enjoy (forget about it, nothing you pick everyone will like so just carry on), you never know what you will be introducing someone too.

Loving the ideas of doing jar favors with quick recipes that can be found on food network.

Engraved Stones Favor or Decor Idea

Posted in Uncategorized

When I think of stones or pebbles being used as a decor element, I think serene and longevity. Once the event is over, they can be used in your garden or your retreat in your home surrounded by candles. Here are pictures of engraved options so you can always have your event “etched in stone”

Inspiration Station- Favor Place Cards

Posted in Uncategorized

Have you ever gone to an event where there were at least 3 drinking glasses, 2 forks, 2 spoons, a knife, a charger plate, a dinner plate, and an appetizer plate just for one setting?!? And then on top of that centerpieces, candles, rose petals, a table number, and a bread basket!

If you understand where I’m going you’re probably smiling and nodding your head while you read this. Needless to say, no matter how beautiful a tablescape may be, things can get cluttered rather quickly. Favors placed at the dining table look elegant, but if for some reason you find yourself needing to spare room, consider incorporating them into your place card table.

I happen to like these because not only do they make practical favors, but you could also have them hanging from a real Christmas tree or branches adding to the decor of your place card table!

No matter if it’s coasters, boxed candy, luggage tags, or a bottle of champagne, it can be turned into a place card with the proper personalization tag.

Interactive Bars – Popcorn Bar

Posted in Uncategorized
Clients are constantly looking for ways to raise the bar for their guests and introduce things that they may have not seen at another event. We have seen our fair share of candy bars, now is the time to pick other favorite past time snacks for your guests. My great friend Latrice from Bridal Opulence is doing a cereal and popcorn bar for her clients this year. Here are some pics and ideas on how you incorporate this idea as well.

There are tons of flavors such as:

Tangy Yellow Cheddar
Spicy Southwest Jalapeno
Nacho Cheese
Creamy Caramel
Tart Dill Pickle
Sour Cream and Onion
Green Apple
Creamy Ranch
Mellow White Cheddar
Salt and Vinegar
Italian Parmesan and Garlic
Traditional
Cherry
Bar-B-Que
Traditional Yummy Butter

As listed on Atlanta’s own Murphy Popcorn Store.

Can I tell you how much I love the idea of throwing popcorn instead of rice?

New 2009 Wedding Favors Push the Envelope!

Posted in Uncategorized

Today’s post comes to you from guest blogger Suzan Hawkins. Suzan writes blogs for MyWeddingFavors.com. Enjoy!

Finding the right wedding favors can drive you crazy, but it’s worth the hunt because they add pizzazz to the look of your reception tables—and guests love them. I know I do, especially when they’re cleverly designed and practical. Top-tier designer Kate Aspen is known for crowd-pleasing favors in incredible gift packaging, and she recently launched 85 new favors for 2009. Did she do it again this year? You tell me!
Here’s one of my favorites! The “With This Ring” Chrome Bottle Stopper. A diamond-cut crystal engagement ring is the highlight, but the real beauty is in the presentation—it opens like a jewelry-store ring box, with the ring displayed on black velvet:

Just as elegant is this “Let’s Celebrate” Champagne Glass Gel Candle. It’s all dressed up for a high-end wedding with a black-satin ribbon and bow and a decorative, silver-finish metal plate that says “Let’s Celebrate!” on the front:

There are also several unique wedding favors with Indian and Far East influences. These stunning Cherry Blossom Glass Coasters are a perfect example:

If you’re having a spring wedding, imagine how beautiful these Butterflies Laser-Cut Favor Boxes will look on your tables. I’m partial to the sage green myself, but they’re both nice. In fact, the two together make a pretty color scheme.

Spring is the perfect time for a vineyard or winery wedding reception— we wine lovers love the outdoors! How about these “Maison du Vin” Wine Cork Place Card/Photo Holders? I like the old-world European winery look:

When I ‘m invited to an outdoor wedding, especially in spring, summer and early fall, I always wonder how hot it will be. Problem solved with this favor—a luxurious silk fan in a laser-cut box that will knock the socks off your guests—if they’re even wearing any!

Okay. One more—and it’s for the ultra-laid-back couple who know they’ll feel just as married with a small ceremony and a big, backyard barbecue, where family and friends can kick back, feast on some great food and celebrate home-style. This is the “Hot Off the Grill!” Mini-Grill Tea Light Holder, which can also hold a sweet treat, a hot dog or hamburger place card (so cute!) or a special photo:

Pretty cool, right? Pretty hot, too! You can find these and many more amazing Kate Aspen originals at MyWeddingFavors.com! Meanwhile, I’d love to know your favorite of the seven!

Possible Penguin Favors?

Our 2010 New Years Bride just loves anything penguins. I found these cute martini glasses on sale at Pottery Barn that would make a great unique favor for her guests.

Leave your guests a "fresh" favor

Posted in Uncategorized

Several of our clients has decided to leave their guests with an unexpected favor, personalized air fresheners complete with scent, name and date. They will ask their valet attendants to place the air freshener’s hanging from the rear view mirror.

The trick to this is to leave the favor bagged in case your guests are allergic to the scent.
