I am often asked where I draw my inspiration from and most people would be shocked that it is not from weddings.  I strive to do things that have not been done before or come up with unique color palettes. You would be surprised at how the little things can give you the foundation you may need to plan your event on.  When I saw these lipglosses from Guerlain, I knew it was a great way to pair terracotta with metallic jewel tones.

All of the shades above can be used on your big day.  Starting from light to dark, your bridesmaids dresses can be the middle shade, your linens the lighter shade with the dark shade being your florals. Really the possibilities are endless!

As most of America prepares to watch the Grammy’s tonight (thinking I need to do my commentary on twitter tonight so follow along @ellybevents), there were tons of pre Grammy parties with magnificent dresses to match.
