Setting the table…a guide!

Posted in Uncategorized

As we are all scurrying to get ready for the holidays, I saw this posted on With Style and Grace and I knew it could help out my newly married wives or just anyone that may need a refresher. Setting the dinner table is not always as easy as it seems as I have seen people struggle as where to place the wine glasses or the forks. It is always wise to make a sophisticated presence on your guests.

Nesting Ideas Volume 1

Posted in Uncategorized

Sometimes it is good to take a break from all your wedding planning and begin thinking of ideas of how you will begin nesting in your new home. After all leave all the heavy thinking and stress to your wedding planner.

As we know there are a slew of wedding planning blogs out there, can you imagine how many are dedicated to home improvement and home inspiration?  One of my favorites is Censational Girl. She is so chic with her ideas and finds you can virtually get lost on her site! Loving this DIY refurbish on her lamp purchase.

Site Love: Style at Home

Posted in Uncategorized

Today I came across the wonderful site Style at Home. There are tons of inspiration pictures as well as instructions on how to have that perfect event complete with tabletop design and resources on where you can purchase the items to complete the look.

I am a huge advocate of using a personal intimate space to host events such as your bridal shower, bridal luncheon, engagement parties, birthday parties and so on. With the right elements you can have your overall look and feel present.  It is all in the details!

Unique Wedding Favors in a Jar

Posted in Uncategorized

I am all for edible favors as gifts.  Chances are high that your guests will actually eat or make the ingeditents given to them from your event. During our Inspiration Stations we also encourage you to include elements for your personal lives or just doing something you enjoy (forget about it, nothing you pick everyone will like so just carry on), you never know what you will be introducing someone too.

Loving the ideas of doing jar favors with quick recipes that can be found on food network.

Sunday Blog Love – decor8

Posted in Sunday Blog Love

Often a great source of new color palette ideas as well as nesting tips, decor8 is my go to source for keeping things unique and chic here at ellyB events.

This is the blog for you if you want to get ideas not only for your event day but beyond. Understand how you can carry color palette’s that may have inspired you off into your newlywed life.

True confession: My favorite color is red so naturally this was the colors for my bridal party. When we moved into our new home I knew my husband would never allow me to bring red into our bedroom so instead I opted to go with a crimson, black and off white color palette for our living room. This way I will always have a piece of my wedding day with me.
