A few months ago we received an email from Katherine from Mike Colon Photography, wanting to collaborate on a shoot that they had coming up here in Atlanta. Ummmmm, let me think about this, a shoot with celebrity photography Mike Colon? Ummm not sure let me think about this (we did all of this while we were jumping up and down and attempting to do a cart wheel). ABSOLUTELY was all I could type. If I must say so myself, this shoot was definitely swoon worthy!
It gave us the opportunity to show off our rustic/vintage style while proving you can still be fabulous and glam! Check out the shoot below and the rest of the images on Style Me Pretty.

Sukari and Andre had a vintage wedding this past winter at the Biltmore Ballrooms here in Atlanta. We infused a great sense of vintage with classic to achieve the Harlem Renaissance theme we were going for. Janet Howard Studios did a great job capturing all of the beauty and emotion for the big day.
The couple will be expecting soon. We wish you all the best Sukari and Andre!
Happy Friday lovelies! We wanted to share with you one of our spring weddings of Kathlika and Brian which took place at the ever so popular Ventanas here in Atlanta. Kathlika wore a vintage inspired gown which was a great twist to the strapless gown. The great team of Twin Hearts Photography did a great job capturing this vintage inspired wedding.

Many years ago, brides would not think about wearing any other wedding gown but their Mother’s! Slowly that tradition changed into altering their gowns or using pieces of their gowns for creation of a new one. Now all elements of doing any of those things seem to be abolished.
I was completely taken back while viewing Ben Vigil’s latest slideshow from a recent wedding. Here was a modern stylish bride getting married to prince charming, in HER MOTHER’S GOWN! And it looked beautiful. Her pictures are now timeless and classic with an ode to her Mother (who Ben told me did the alterations for the beautiful bride).
The bride wore the gown through the ceremony and her formal portraits, but later changed into a funky reception dress complete with birdcage veil. It was the perfect conclusion
