Tables With Details

Posted in Decor Ideas, Design Elements, Small Details, Uncategorized

Happy Friday everyone, it’s almost the weekend! Check out our latest blog post by our ellyB Wedding and Event Designer, Pia!

“This year so far has brought us many creative ideas for table settings. Vibrant color palettes mixed with simple styles add a touch of excitement to any table at an event. Feathers and crystal-like decorations are also hot right now. What is it that makes these designs worthwhile? It’s all about the details this year! Whether it’s a shade of pink, a tropical plate setting, or even just the way the napkins are displayed along with the menu cards; they all make a statement of your event style.

The tropical hues, flower selections, straw place setting, and the zebra print designed boxes in the photo below, bring a playful yet elegant feel to a spring or summer party. Flowers can be used in the place of a ribbon or bow along with bamboo sticks to add an eccentric touch.

The yellow, aqua, and white color scheme below is so beautiful! The napkin is neatly folded over with a yellow ribbon and flower to hold it in place. The aqua rock crystals over the napkin add that extra color to the set up. Frostedevents.com published an amazing set up! Thumbs up!

Leaves and simple branches make a great substitute for flowers. As long as the color scheme is intact, the styles can vary. Our next table setting shows gold and white metallics. The mini frosted wine glasses alone are a great addition to the table. The gold candle holders and vases add the last touch to the color scheme. Remember, not everything has to be the same color or material.

Whether you have bright colors or pastels, your details make a great addition to your table. It can be small vases with flowers, feathers with glitter, or plate settings in multiple colors, your table represents your style and what you are bringing to, well, the table” : )

Atlanta Venue: The Georgian Club

Posted in Venues

Happy Monday all! Today I wanted to share with you a spectacular venue, The Georgian Club, perfect for your wedding, rehearsal dinner, or even bridal shower. The Georgian Club is located just inside the perimeter in Cobb Galleria in the Cumberland/Vinings district, on the 17th floor of the Tower 100 building. It’s the perfect venue location for those who are looking for amazing views of the Atlanta skyline without having to actually go into the city. Not only do they have floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the space, but if you’re wanting an outdoor ceremony, the Galleria Gardens below have a beautiful cascading waterfall and bell tower. Also, their menu has more than enough options to satisfy all of your guests. If you would describe your wedding style as classic and sophisticated, then this venue is perfect for you!

Atlanta Engagement Session: Cori and Alex by Todd Baugh Photo

Posted in ellyB Couples Engagement Pictures

We were so grateful to witness the marriage of Cori and Alex this past weekend in Savannah at the Mansion on Forsyth Park.  It was a very intimate wedding and they were surrounded by their loved ones.  Everyone enjoyed themselves as they spent the day basking in the love these two have to share with each other.

I wanted to share their engagement session before bringing you pics from their big day.  The couple took to the streets and shared some desserts while playing rock, paper and scissors. Too fun!

It was great working with Todd Baugh for the first time as well!

Atlanta Engagement Session: Lindsey and Will

Posted in ellyB Couples Engagement Pictures

Happy Thursday Peeps!  How is your day going so far? Today we have the pleasure of bringing to you Lindsey and Will! I had to tell Lindsey she had me at hello from her inquiry email!  Not only is she balls of fun and just blushes every time she mentions Will’s name, but it was so great to hear all about her mission trips and all of the plans she has for her future, it was very inspiring.

The second reason she had me at hello is because they are getting married in an airplane hangar, SQUEAL!!!

Check out these awesome images from their fab engagement photographer – T Case Pictures.

Hawaii Engagement Session: Jasmine and Trevor

Posted in ellyB Couples Engagement Pictures, ellyB Published

Yup you heard that right! Jasmine and Trevor flew to Hawaii for their engagement pictures and a bit of R&R. See both Trevor and Jasmine are US Army Captains stationed in Afghanistan. Everyday I receive an email from Jasmine letting me know what is going on over there and how she is doing, and am always so proud of how she gushes about her soldiers and all of the ideas and awards that are presented to them to make their time over there a little bit more manageable.

They will be married here in Atlanta next June, and I cannot wait to officially meet them. Although I have threatened to go in their suitcase for one of their many travels! Thanks to Jenna at Creatrix Photography for the amazing images and taking such good care of my clients!

To learn all about these two, check out their feature on Essence and The Bride’s Cafe!  Thank you ladies for loving these images as much as I do!

Atlanta Park Tavern Wedding: Jessica and Sam

Posted in ellyB Published, ellyb Real Weddings

We are so excited to finally feature the images from Jessica and Sam’s big day.  Last year we planned a day that was perfect for just the two of them. We kept the decor simple, yet fashionable and all of the details flowed in just the amount of design that we wanted too.  We did the pops of orange and pinks but keeping the base color of champagne neutral in order to not have too much pink when the guests walked into the room! I think we did it!

Jessica and Sam were such a joy to work with! Each meeting we got a chance to know each other and we made sure that their personalities were represented throughout their wedding day. They were a picture perfect couple and I was honored to be their planner for their big day.
