Tyeema is just one of those girls that walks around with a smile on her face. Even if you had not such great news to share, there was no way you were going to damper her mood. She just made everyone happy everywhere she went. Gerik is just amazing and makes sure to take care of Tyeema and be there when she needs him!
They were married this October at Evleven 15 Events, and boy did her crowd party!

We were so excited to see our wonderful client, Ahlia and Max on Munaluchi’s Blog today! We just adore Ahlia and her style. Working with this couple has been a dream. Ahlia and Max are getting married next June at the Biltmore here in Atlanta, and they have chosen a fabulous color palette and design, we cannot wait to share. Here are a few more images from their engagement session captured by the fabulous Milanes Photography at the Mansion Hotel.
Thanks again Munaluchi Magazine for the feature!
All across the country wedding seasons vary. Here in Atlanta May is one of the hottest months to get married and I do not mean temperature wise. Couples decide to get married in May for quite a few reasons, the three day holiday, the temperature can be just right, it’s the month before everyone decides to go on vacation, and the list goes on and on!
Here are some tips to make sure that your May Wedding goes off without a hitch:
- Plan early. Yes it is fine to pull off a wedding in six months but the dates here in Atlanta for May Weddings book up over a year in advance. You will have slim pickings when it comes to your venue selection.
- Photographers and other in-demand vendors. They go just as fast as the venue! Couples are looking for photogs before securing their dates because everyone now knows photography is just as important!
- Decide if you will have any other activities besides the wedding that weekend. It will be good to scout locations and get an idea of what may be available around town and not conflicting with a parade or conference.
- Travel! If you have tons of guests coming from out of town (Atlanta is really a hot destination wedding market), don’t be afraid to call the airlines and see if they can give you a group discount or advise as to what weekend will cost your guests the most.
I personally just love the month of May but I am sure that also has a lot to do with the fact that it’s my birthday month!
Happy Hump Day!
We are so excited for the summer time! Not only is it just beautiful outside, but we get to indulge in all of the summer editions of the wedding magazine world out there! As always it is a treat to see our couples grace the glossy pages. Congrats to Amanda and Jason who were married last December at the Piedmont Driving Club here in Atlanta. They are featured in a two page spread in the latest edition of the Atlantan Brides Magazine. David Murray Photography did an amazing job capturing their wedding day. Their wedding was right around the holidays and we were able to execute a winter wedding without getting too kitschy. Just the way we like it!
Also congrats to Michelle and Sean on their wedding photo being featured in the Hitched section! Their wedding was this past January at 200 Peachtree, with this great shot taken in the lobby of the Ritz Carlton Downtown. Janet Howard Photography did an amazing job! We miss you guys!
If you do not have the latest copy of the Atlantan Brides, be sure to grab a copy!
I am super excited about this event mainly because I have seen them happen in all other states and longed for it to happen locally. I believe this will be a great event to gather ideas, shop for bride and bridal party jewelry, and some unique fashion finds. Oh and by the way, Atlanta Weddings knows how to throw a party!
We plan on stopping by so if you are going leave us a message so we can meet for cocktails.
We would love for you to join us as we help Munaluchi celebrate their third print issue. The event is free so please sign up fast as we would love to get to know all of the attendees! http://munaluchiatl.eventbrite.com/

So the other day I received one of the most fascinating bridal magazines in the mail. When it comes to magazines I act just like a bride, I comb through all of the photos and editorial and soak up all of the awesomeness. Munaluchi Bridal did not disappoint. The magazine is very well done. Classy, elegant yet fun for today’s woman of color.
Brides of color get to connect and get inspired by all of the culture and inspiration photos created with them in mind. This issue features the beautiful Lala Vasquez on the cover. Her wedding planned by the fab Mindy Weiss covers several pages in the newest issue.
We were so excited when Munaluchi Bridal covered the love story of our amazing couple Erika and Leroy on Valentines Day with their readers. You will be able to see the trailer for their wedding day captured by Ryan Rodinis films. Please head over there and check it out!
Thank you so much Jackie for the feature. xoxo
One of our favorite publications – Essence magazine has chosen model Cynthia from the Real Housewives of Atlanta franchise wedding picture for the cover of their next issue. Cynthia not only chose the unique Atlanta venue the Fern Bank Museum as her wedding location, but she also choice to be very non traditional and wear a smoke gray wedding gown, looking like she came straight from the runway. What do you think of her selection?

I believe what I am most thankful for is that I have clients that are multi faceted. Everything from lawyers, to doctors to very talented graphic designers. I wanted to take some time to introduce my wonderful bride Sheila and her company Sheila Mari Designs. She has an amazing collection on Etsy and does everything from weddings, to birthday parties. I love her 2011 calendar, perfect for your desk!
