Growing up I would have never thought that it was OK to propose to my mate. I mean NEVER. Thinking that the lady must be desperate to want to drop to her knees and propose to her suitor.
Today one my favorite singer, Jennifer Hudson, has proposed to her long time Beau David Otunga. A few months back David proposed to Jennifer on her birthday and she returned the favor by proposing to him on his birthday as a sweet gesture complete with engagement ring and all.
This made me think, things have completely changed in these times. Women are now independent and going after anything their heart desires, why should their sole mate be any different?

I’m not much of a traditionalist, but this is one I’m ok with keeping it the way it’s been. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with women proposing to men, but as a personal preference, I would not appreciate being proposed to.
