I am often asked where I draw my inspiration from and most people would be shocked that it is not from weddings. I strive to do things that have not been done before or come up with unique color palettes. You would be surprised at how the little things can give you the foundation you may need to plan your event on. When I saw these lipglosses from Guerlain, I knew it was a great way to pair terracotta with metallic jewel tones.
All of the shades above can be used on your big day. Starting from light to dark, your bridesmaids dresses can be the middle shade, your linens the lighter shade with the dark shade being your florals. Really the possibilities are endless!
What are some ways you draw inspiration?

I used Terra Cotta shantung on my table two weeks ago! It was gorgeous. As soon as my camera comes back from Puerto Rico, I can upload.
Elly, I *love* that you don’t use other weddings for inspiration. And I love the bronze caps on these lipstick tubes! How wonderfully inspirational to see. Thank you for sharing.
The best photo I ever saw an event planner use for inspiration was a photo of an exotic bird taken in Costa Rico. Where better to draw inspiration from than from the riches of nature.
