This is something I have toyed with in the past. Some of my clients decide to sell their gown after their big day or even want to keep it to do a trash the dress session. Others have decided to preserve their wedding gown because they just cant seem to part with it (I am one of these brides but I have yet to preserve my gown, don’t judge me :)!).

10. You have more space in your bedroom closet. Your husband loved the way you looked in your gown, but sad to say, now he would like to get into his side of the closet without having to tango with your dress.
9. Your mom wants a guest room. Unless you have no interest at all in your gown, you had better take it from here before she turns it into a bedspread.
8. You will not have to worry when you move to a new house. It is not likely the moving men are willing to wash their hands before they touch your gown so it is best to protect it before they arrive.

HI there! I toyed with this for a while – should I keep it? Should I sell it? Should I turn it into a Christening gown? Should I turn it into beaded throw pillows? Ultimately I decided to preserve it until I decided what to do with it. Perhaps my sister will wear it when she decides to abandon the single life? Who knows. 🙂 But those are great reasons to keep it 🙂
