Atlanta Engagement Session: Ashley Rose and Bryan by Scobey Photography

My sweet and darling Ashley Rose! Let me tell you this girl is a riot and I love every minute of it.  Bryan is just such an amazing person to her and I can see why she is marrying him!  They are both uber important to me and I would only ditch them for Ashley Roses’ dad who is now my constant reminder of how amazing growing up in Brooklyn really is!  Check out their Atlanta Engagement session by Scobey Photography. I just love that my couples have the same fabulous taste in great vendors like me!

Ventanas Atlanta Wedding: Fatimah and Jean

I had to ask Fatimah several times if she was a model!  I mean her height and her eyes needs to be in a magazine!  I am so grateful that their entire wedding can be found in the current issue of Bridal Guide.  I will share more of that soon.

In the meantime I have to tell you how great it was to work with Fatimah and Jean on their wedding day.  Super laid back and probably did not know what their wedding was going to look like until they walked into Ventanas.  That kind of trust that they had in this team is why we do what we do!

The couple are now expecting their bundle of joy and we continue to pray for their many blessings!

Biltmore Atlanta Wedding – Nadine and Eddy

What do you get when you have the ingredients of a beautiful couple, amazing friends and family, a glamorous venue, and a color palette to die for???? The beautiful wedding of Nadine and Eddy.  Nadine was such a pleasure to work with! She constantly reminded me of why I do what I do, and for that I thank you Nadine! Now I didn’t get to meet Eddy until closer to the wedding day since at that time he lived in Philly, but boy was he a hoot and just made the wedding day full of fun and laughter.

I am so excited to have inserted myself into their family, I mean come on, her niece is named Eliana too!  How fabulous.  Here are their wedding pics!

As guests entered the gallery they were greeted with fabulous paper decor by Lucky and Lovely with decals from ten23 designs that were used throughout the space.

The stationery set the tone for the event and contained the ellyB brand story.

The event is not complete without matching signature drinks!

If you know me you know I love a little bit of bling!

So I am a little backward in this post and decided to start with my desserts first. Hey I would eat my dessert first if I was given the option. So we decided to take a room in the gallery and turn it into our very own sweetshop. There was two full walls full of desserts that the guests were able to nibble on at their leisure.

Now on to the cocktail hour which I affectionately dubbed the pink room!

Proof of the Pudding and Endive did an amazing job with the food and presentation as they greeted our guests.

Now on to the blue room which was the main reception area.  Not only did the DJ get the crowd going with the sounds, but Belly Dancers came out to show everyone a few moves.

Other entertainment including the very fun Halo Booth as well as this cigar lounge hosted by Lashes and Mustashes. Let’s just say we had to go for the grooms a few times.

We cannot thank our AMAZING couples enough for coming out to celebrate with us. Our vendors did an amazing job with this event, and for that we are forever eternally grateful!

Vendor Spotlight: La Gartier

The bridal garter is one of the most popular wedding traditions that brides like to partake in. The tradition of wearing a garter on your wedding day dates back to the early eighteenth century. It is believed to be good luck if the bride removes an article of clothing at the wedding. The garter is the little surprise that nobody sees until your groom tosses it, and it will become a keepsake of yours forever.

My fiancé immediately signed up for this wedding tradition as we planned our wedding, which didn’t surprise me at all (honestly, which groom wouldn’t be excited?).  As I began my search for the perfect garter, I was surprised at the lack of choices available. After a huge disappointing search, I stumbled across La Gartier.

Sarah Dobson, the owner of La Gartier, custom designs each garter to the brides style. After a consultation, she immediately began to make my keepsake garter. When I opened the package from La Gartier in the mail, I was thrilled to see my garter…it looked gorgeous! La Gartier makes the most beautiful garters I’ve ever seen and each one is made with love.

Unique Save the Date: Nadine and Eddy Movie Poster

It is so awesome that the creativity is following in the wedding world.  Although many couples still beautiful wedding save the date magnets or postcards, some are getting creative a bit and doing things that represent them as a couple or their personal style.  If you remember a few posts back, Kimberly and Joe did crossword puzzle save the dates, obviously someone is a crossword lover.

Nadine had shared with me that she was super excited about doing a movie theme for her save the dates and she decided to do a movie poster for her save the date.  We think that Nadine and Eddy make the perfect models! We will show you more pictures from their AMAZING engagement session but for now you can feast your eyes on the poster.
