I cannot believe it is really the holidays. Has 2009 really flown by that quickly? With so many ups and downs this year I know there is a sense of relief to start over in the new year on the right foot and with a new spirit in tow.
Whichever holiday you are celebrating this season please be safe, enjoy your loved ones, and get ready to take 2010 by storm!
This is personally my favorite holiday and although it is FREEZING here in New York, I am glad to be back here with my family and friends. In reality I cannot imagine spending the holiday without them and treat it as if it is my last. I sit back and reflect on how many times I wish I had called my mother or father in the weeks that I deem myself so busy and vow to make this time even more special than the last. I watch my son play with my nieces and nephews, ok they are not playing but rather fighting because this is how they communicate. I watch my husband do a total makeover to my mother’s home like he is on an episode of Extreme Makeover. Then my 89 year old grandmother sits back and watches all of her great grandchildren make more noise than she cares to hear. I say all of this because I do not wait until next week to think about all of the great things I have going on in my life.
As the time of the year is coming to a close so soon, I vow not to waste anymore time worrying about all of the hardships that I deem unfair and rather spend my time focusing on the accomplishments and love that I have that are priceless!
With that my friends I wish you a happy and safe holiday to you and your family. Make sure to grab some eggnog with a twist, watch a movie and tell everyone you love that you love them.
I love my husband and son, of course my family that I often think are here just to drive me insane, my local wedding support group (you know who you are), I actually have people all over the world that I speak to on an almost daily basis that I have had the privilege of meeting this year, I love you too and see you in April, my clients really bring me joy and I love that they have allowed me to share in their special moment in their lives, I also have to share my love of God that allows me on a daily basis to dream big and pave the path for me to get there!
