SHIBUE couture – The Strapless G-String

Today ellyB had the pleasure of chatting with Jenny the owner of Shibue Couture. Over at Shibue they have been able to take the meaning of thongs to a whole new level. Shibue features one of a kind strapless thongs that would be perfect for a bride on her wedding day or even for every day use.

Here are a few words from Jenny herself:

ellyB: What is the concept behind SHIBUEcouture?
SHIBUE: The company began several years ago when Jenny Buettner was asked to wear a silk bridesmaid dress for her sister’s wedding. She became frustrated with the lack of available intimate apparel which claimed to provide “no panty-lines”. Each one of the popular brands that she tried, never completely erased the unattractive lines. In her desperation, she found a solution. She cut off the sides of her thong underwear and applied household double-sided tape. After the wedding, she perfected her invention and has subsequently created, developed, and patented (pending) the Strapless G String (SGS), a specialty product which provides coverage and freedom without unflattering panty lines, bulges, or uncomfortable markings.

ellyB: How are the strapless thongs held up?
SHIBUE: The SGS is unique new women’s lingerie product that is unlike any other in the marketplace, the SGS is flawlessly designed. You simply apply a SHIBUE Adhesive that is a medical grade, hypo-allergenic tape, for the front and back, with easy-to-use release edges for smooth applications and firmly apply it to the top front and the top back of the panty. When applied properly, the SGS will stay in place for six to eight hours, or until the wearer physically removes the product and even then it does not hurt to remove the adhesive.

To maximize convenience and provide a long-lasting product, the self-adhesive panties are washable, reusable, and easy to care for. Each package includes a pair of SGS panties, along with six front and back adhesive strips. Additional adhesives can be purchased separately.

ellyB:What is the average price range for the thongs?
SHIBUE: The average price point is for replacement adhesives and panties range from $10 to $30 and the sexy matching tankini’s have recently been added to the line.

ellyB:What is next for line?
SHIBUE:SHIBUE couture is proud to be launching it’s SHIBUE Sunwear line for summer 2009! This fabulous collection will offer coverage, protection and modesty while eliminating the strange tan lines that all suits offer today on the market. They will be offered in a variety of sweet, sexy colors and fabrics and will be in stores by April 2008!
