Atlanta Biltmore Wedding – Samantha and Charlie

There is so much I can say about these two, but one of the most important things I can say is that is that I am beyond blessed that these two are my friends for life. They trusted me, made me laugh, and was never short of personality throughout our entire planning process. Looking back at these images makes me relive the day (hey I know I am just a planner but it is my day too!), there is not a thing I would change. I hope they feel the same!

Foundry at Puritan Mill Atlanta Wedding: Melissa and Thea

I never considered it work when working with Melissa and Thea.  Melissa may be one of the sweetest souls I know, that could not even get upset at anyone if she tried. Thea just completes her in every way as they embark on journey after journey together.  Since her mother has affectionately adopted me into the family, be prepared to see this couple a lot more on the blog in the upcoming months!

Melissa began her day getting ready at one of the most gorgeous spa’s in all of Atlanta, Spa Sentio. While the girls took their time to get ready, they sipped on champagne and transformed into fabulous divas. The ceremony took place at the beautiful Christ the King Cathedral then the guests headed to the Foundry at Puritan Mill for a night full of dancing.  If you ever want to see what 400 people on the dance floor looks like, peep below!

We made sure that no detail was missed as we carried the color scheme from the clothes that Melissa wore in her save the date picture, to the mini pom poms we threw at the grand exit. It was great to see how the tangerine and plum worked so well together (we were ahead of the curve with the Pantone 2012 colors!).

ellyB Events – December Press Round Up

So we are going to let you in on a little secret. One of our goals this year was to see our fabulous couples and events on the pages of the Knot Magazine. First we were blessed to see Jessica and Sam in the Knot National issue that came out earlier this month, and now we have not one but two couples in The Knot Georgia edition. As an added bonus we even gave some savvy scoops on how to make your day that much better!  Congrats to Asha and Bryson as well as Melissa and Thea!

ellyB Events Press Round Up

Although this is November the month of thanks, I am really thankful all year round. Some days my life feels like a fairytale and some days its just as rough as the next person, but no matter what I am thankful for everything I go through. I am thankful to all of my wonderful editors I have been fortunate to meet and continue to grow relationships with.

I wanted to share with you some press we received recently from different media outlets. All amazing in their own way and I am uber proud to see our names on their glossy pages and blog posts.

The ladies at Southern Weddings know how much I adore them. We provided the perfect tips on how to have a southern wedding.  Imagine our surprise as our names are listed amongst some of the top in the industry that I truly look up too like David Beahm and Todd Fiscus. I think I died and went to idol heaven once I saw that.  Everyone please say a prayer and send good vibes to Southern Weddings editor Lara Casey as she prepares for the birth of her baby girl Grace on 11/11//11. We love you Lara!

Next up, yup we checked something major off of our list.  We made it into the national issue of the The Knot Magazine. Jessica and Sam were picked for their amazing and stylish ways.  Full post from their wedding coming soon!

Talking about idols!  I cannot believe my fellow country mate and ultimate designer extraordinaire, Preston Bailey posted the engagement pictures of Tyeema and Gerik on his blog.  LOVE IT!Screen shot 2011-10-20 at 3.39.27 PM.png

The beautiful vineyard wedding of Julie and James were not only showcased on The Bride’s Cafe but also on Essence’s blog. The wedding was just gorgeous with full of details that the blog personally took her time to make. Atlanta Real Wedding – Biltmore: Sukari and Andre

Sukari and Andre had a vintage wedding this past winter at the Biltmore Ballrooms here in Atlanta. We infused a great sense of vintage with classic to achieve the Harlem Renaissance theme we were going for. Janet Howard Studios did a great job capturing all of the beauty and emotion for the big day.

The couple will be expecting soon. We wish you all the best Sukari and Andre!

ellyB Sneak Peeks: Alyssa and Brandon

So I have to start this post to tell you a little bit about my relationship with this uber fun couple.  Brandon I swear is about 7ft tall. Each time we see each other we must do a height check. If you met me in person you would know I don’t even clear 5’5 so it is our little joke to see how much of a midget I am to him!

Alyssa my darling dear. I still till this day do not really get all the Bio Chemistry stuff she does, but we had fun meeting at Georgia Tech so I can hear all about the lab, then ask her what she does again! LOL

We are also planning a trip to Thailand (as you can see this is really on my bucket list!) and I hope to share their pics from their Italian honeymoon where they stayed in a castle with you guys soon.  But for now here is a sneak peek of their wedding day complete with pics from the Thai ceremony.  Will share those traditions as well! The wedding and reception took place here in Atlanta at the Fernbank Museum.  Their first look took place on the patio of the Lowes Atlanta hotel. Thanks to the fabulous Adam from W. Scott Chester for the amazing images.
