When a magazine approaches you to do an editorial shoot, after you jump up and down for about 30 minutes, you are now plagued on how can you think of ways to go completely against everything you have done before as well as make sure it is completely outside of the box!
Since we post so many photos of glamourous ballrooms, we do ALL kinds of weddings. No seriously we do. We do not specialize in any one form of wedding. If you had to ask me what is our speciality I would give you two words, personalization and detials. Point blank! So your style is your style and we are here to bring it to life!
Check this fun rustic shoot we created for Occasions Weddings Magazine. Complete with lighted spheres, S’mores with fire pit setup outside complete with colored marshmellows (um hello, of course the marshmellows should be branded in your color scheme as well), farm tables, mismatch vintage chairs, you name it, we brought it!!!
Tashieka’s fun loving and vivacious essence complemented David’s charismatic and animated spirit. The warmth of this couple not only warmed my heart, but also warmed the hearts of all their guests. It was such fun working on their wedding. Here is a sneak peek of their enchanted day by Erik Moore Media.
Last week the Pantone Color Institute announced the color for the year 2014 is Radiant Orchid! Clearly they have not seen the many fabulous wedding blog posts and publications for the past two years.
All shades and variations of purple that you can imagine have made their way into the hearts of many brides and grooms. Purple in all its essence of royalty, is exuberant, glamorous, mystifying, and elegant.
As often as many of our clients have added this gorgeous color to their color palette I am still in love with it. It can be combined with so many colors. Bright colors like yellow and orange. Deep shades like navy blue, fuchsia and of course the ever so faithful metallic colors, silver, gold and copper. No matter what season or time of day the warmth of this vibrant color can fill any event with absolute love.
We were so excited for one of our very first wedding this year at Agnes Scott College. Noted as one of the top five most beautiful campuses in the US, Agnes campus was a perfect location for Kara and Alvin’s wedding . The couple were married in the Julia Thompson Smith chapel that was conveniently located onsite as well as the Letitia Evans dining hall. The entire wedding was complete with emotion and officiated by Alvin’s father.

Sometimes it just feels surreal. The reality is that as party/wedding planners and designers, we get to do what we love and we get to do it often! We get to get as wild and crazy as we like yet keeping it completely realistic (and sometimes unimaginable)! We get to play with colors, textures and designs and watch them come to life! This is exactly what we were able to do when the W Midtown Atlanta asked us to do a shoot for their upcoming season portfolio. Together with an allstar team of vendors, we created magic!
We also shared this shoot with the this shoot with the fabulous Oh Brides Magazine which is on stands now!

Thanks so much to the amazing Style Production Team as always!
With the introduction of Oh Brides Magazine, the ellyB Events team have visited and made some amazing vendor friends from all parts of Georgia! We were elated to participate in Oh Bride’s Magazine Bridal Bash a few weeks ago. Bridal Bash is the biggest bridal show in Middle Georgia held in Macon. We were able to showcase great ideas for brides to be in that area and give ideas on how to glam up even the most tradtional wedding venues.
Khadine from ellyB Events team spear headed this table design with Utopian Events to bring just the amount of bling with stunning invitation design that had tons of texture. They showcased how to incorprate bling into your event without the use of actual bling elements but reflective vases/containers with bling irredesicent table linens. Even the chair sashes had character all on their own.
The event was a smashing success as many of the local vendors had amazing table displays and there were something there for each and every bride!
I seriously cannot believe it is November. Like seriously? Where did the year go? I mean it has been such an awesome year but give us some time to enjoy it!
This year when I attended engage12, I knew one thing I wanted to take away from the experience besides awesome friends, was a way to set ellyB apart from others in the industry. It became easy to see the best way to do this was through our brand. Everything a client gets from us should expose how excited we are to have us there to execute such a wonderful experience.
We seek to do this not only through printed materials, but from the settings we conduct our meetings to the little gifts they receive when they least expect it. I can share this one as we have so much more in the pipeline (can someone say holiday gifts?).
We have been working with branding expert Sirmantha from Paper Parfait, not only has she been a dream to work with, she can make sense out of my ramblings and make it wonderful masterpieces!
From the moment I met with Lisa we just clicked! In almost the year leading up to her wedding, all we did was laugh and design a wedding that was true to her and Eric’s personality. All the little touches and memories were just perfect for the big day. It was so amazing to see two fabulous families unite and become one. After all that is what the big day is all about! Check out their wedding below filled with peacock details. It was so great to incorporate the little touches without being too over the top!
In a couple of days it will be Sean and Michelle’s one year anniversary. I cannot believe how time is flying, remind me to have a conversation with God to ask him to just slow it down a bit. Back to Michelle and Sean, I heart these two, I really do. As a wedding planner I do not get the opportunity to hang out with my clients as much as I like and I plan to change that in 2012! After all they are much more than clients to me, there is no way we will lose communication because of work!
Michelle and Sean although I don’t get to connect as much as I like, please know that I tell your story often. So much so that I am about to share it now.
Michelle and Sean visited 200 Peachtree one day, although they went to many venues after, Michelle just knew in her heart this venue was for her. Since Sean is an accountant he gave me a budget we had to stick too, and another venue just worked out to fit our budget a bit better. Michelle was ok with giving up her dream place just to make it work. As far as she was concerned Sean and I put down a deposit on venue B and we were moving forward with the wedding plans. Being the angel that Michelle is, she was ok with this, after all all that mattered is that she was marrying her best friend.
But Sean being an amazing man that he is, did not want his lovely wife to be to sacrifice the place that won her heart, we moved forward with the venue of her dreams and held our little secret for weeks. I think Sean couldn’t take it anymore and squealed on himself! Yup he is just that amazing.
